Posta na simu SACCOS seeks to appoint dedicated, self motivated and highly organized SACCOS MANAGER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shall be responsible for the day-to-day management of the SACCOs, for provision of a dynamic and strategic leadership, vision and direction of the SACCOS, ensuring appropriate outreach, development impact and profitability while providing high-quality and transformational services.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of the position is to provide overall leadership in terms of long term strategic visioning that will transform the SACCOS to be member/customer centric and hence contribute substantially to make it financially sustainable.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
He or she shall be appointed by the Board of Directors and hence reporting to the Board..
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• SACCOS manager shall be responsible for the day-to-day management of the SACCOS, for provision of a dynamic and strategic leadership, vision and direction of the SACCOS, ensuring appropriate outreach, development impact and profitability while providing high-quality and transformational services. A successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties;
• Oversee effective and efficient implementation of the SACCO’s short and long term plans, and enforcement of relevant legislations, rules and regulations pertaining to the Cooperatives missions.
• Provide direction and leadership towards achievement of the SACCOS’s Vision, Mission, Objectives and Deliverables
• Ensure the SACCOs consistently presents strong and positive image to stakeholders and the general public
• Advise and inform the Board on progress made in implementing operational activities the SACCOS.
• Oversee delivery of quality products and services to the members.
• Manage effective utilization of the SACCOS’s resources within approved budget, guidelines, policies, laws and regulations.
• Establish, implement and enforce a robust SACCOS wide risk management framework and systems (policies, processes and tools) covering operational risk, market risk, credit risk, legal risk and other risks.
• Ensure growth of the core business of SACCOS by increased member subscription, Loans portfolio, number of SACCOs members and interest from loans.
• Plan on membership recruitment, services, retention and administration and develop and maintain a membership relational electronic data base with a capability to produce different types of reports
• Market SACCOS Services for all member Institutions and other stakeholders, through personal selling and awareness campaigns and develop appropriate integrated marketing communication channels to target every segment of our membership structure with the appropriate message.
• Administer preparation of annual plan and budget and track financial progress of the SACCOS Ensure cost minimization in all levels is adhered as per budget.
• Representing the society in business transaction and any other transactions as maybe authorized by the Board Chairman. Secretary to the Board Meetings and carrying advisory role to the AGM meetings,
• Carry out other related duties as may be assigned by the Board from time to time.
COMPETENCIES
• Excellent team player with great interpersonal skills.
• A good knowledge of the Cooperative sector and how it is organized in Tanzania Result oriented
• ability to get results through other people
• Good communication, presentation and writing skills
• Excellent facilitation skills, strong belief in serving customers Able to interact with officials at the highest levels of Other Co-operators, Government, civil society, and the private sector
QUALIFICATIONS
• A graduate degree in Business Management, Cooperative movement Finance, Economics, Marketing or Accounting, A postgraduate degree in Cooperative Management, Finance, Marketing or Business Administration will be added advantage.
• Minimum of three (3) years working experience in a Cooperative movement or Financial Institution.
